As you work towards  your professional career, it is important to practice good habits with regards to electronic communication! Please consider the following when speaking with an advisor via Blackboard IM:

 

    •           Provide the advisor with your full name and G number
    •           Politely phrase your question using gramatically correct sentences
    •           Refrain from using IM/text messaging slang 
    •           Proofread before sending
    •           Be patient if other students are in the waiting room

 

 

To access Blackboard IM, find the Wimba link from your Blackboard main page and click Get Pronto. We are listed as a Helpdesk "CLAS Academic Advising" under the Schools Tab.
