CLAS faculty and staff are encouraged to attend the presentations & receptions to be held on Wednesday, June 1 and Friday, June 3 in order to hear the candidates for the CLAS Associate Dean of Professional Development and Administration position.  The search committee identified its top candidates from criteria in the position announcement and has sent names to Human Resources for processing.  We are not yet able to supply names, but thought you'd like to get this into your calendar ASAP.

 

AD candidates' presentations and receptions

Dates: Wednesday, June 1

           Friday, June 3

Time: 1:30-3:00pm

Venue: KC 2215/2216

One candidate will present on Wednesday and one on Friday.

 

2.  Call for Undergraduate Research Highlights: Fall 2011 issue of the CUR Quarterly

Submissions for the "Undergraduate Research Highlights" feature of the Fall 2011 issue of the CUR Quarterly are being accepted until June 15, 2011.  Highlights consist of brief descriptions of recent (past six months) peer-reviewed research or scholarly publications in scholarly journals. These publications must be in print and must include one or more undergraduate co-authors. To be considered for publication as an Undergraduate Research Highlight, a submission should include the information listed below and MUST CONFORM TO THE FORMAT OF THE EXAMPLE PROVIDED ON THE CUR WEBSITE. 

Should you have any questions regarding the eligibility of your highlight, please send your question to the Highlights Editor by email (Nicole Bennett - bennettns@appstate.edu). 

Questions regarding the submissions process may be directed to the CUR National Office at cur@cur.org or 202-783-4810.

Submissions not selected for inclusion in the Quarterly will be posted to the Highlights portion of CUR's web site.
