The Registrar’s Office recommends that students apply for their graduation audit one semester prior to the expected graduation. This is intended to provide some opportunity for the student to address unknown issues that may arise from the audit.

Here is a helpful link for advising designed by two students in WRT 200 on the use of MyPath that you may want to share with your advisees.

2. Last Date of Academic Activity Follow-up: Jerry Montag, Registrar

To all faculty -

I have received a few questions this week regarding the Last Date of Academic Activity (LDAA) and I want to share this response with you. Beginning with the current (Winter 2012) semester, you are required to enter a Last Date of Academic Activity for students receiving F or NC that corresponds to one of the following three categories:

The student never attended your class
The student attended all semester but did not satisfactorily earn a passing grade
The student stopped attending your class at some time during the semester

You received an email listing that gives the dates to enter for students receiving F or NC grades who fall into categories 1 and 2 for each of your sections.

In reference to category 3, if the student stopped attending at some other point during the semester and will receive an F or NC grade, you will be required to determine the last date of academic activity and enter that date.

Examples of Academic Activity:

Physically attending a class
Submitting an academic assignment either in class or on Blackboard
Taking a quiz or an exam
Attending a study group that is assigned by the institution
Participating in an online discussion about academic matters

Note: Academic Activity does NOT include academic advising or logging into an online course without active participation.

Have a great shot that tells the story of what your unit is all about? Not those stiff group shots—instead, your discipline in action. Weed out the ones with Sparty T-shirts on the participants or low res phone-cam shots. We want some really great ones to include in the CLAS Quadrennial Report. No later than May 25. Thanks!
