U.S. Sen. Carl Levin is scheduled to visit Grand Valley State University to speak to students on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 4 p.m. in room 132 of Lake Huron Hall on the Allendale Campus. The event is open to GVSU faculty, staff and students.

Nominations for the 2011-2012 Outstanding Academic Advising and Student Services Award are now being accepted. This Award, established in 2007-2008 by Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Gayle Davis, is given annually to recognize outstanding academic advising and service to students. The University Academic Advising Council Awards Subcommittee will select and recommend one faculty member (only tenure track faculty or affiliate faculty are
eligible) and one administrative professional as recipients to the Provost.
Nomination Forms and all supporting materials are due at the Student Academic Success Center, 200 STU by November 1, 2011 at 5 p.m. To review the Award Criteria and to download the appropriate forms, please visit the GVSU Advising website at www.gvsu.edu/advising.
