John Weber, professor of geology, was interviewed by the Trinidad Express for a story about his research with colleagues at the University of the West Indies on the Central Range Fault and the new geophysical observatory that they are trying to build there.

Charles Pazdernik, associate professor of Classics, gave a presentation, “The Quaestor Proclus,” at the 2013 Annual Meeting of the Association of Ancient Historians at Ohio State University.

Russell Rhoads, associate professor of anthropology, served as symposium organizer and facilitator for “Reconnecting the Academy in Sierra Leone and the Diaspora” held at Kalamazoo College.

Patricia Clark, professor of writing, wrote a poem, “Dreaming of Travel,” published in Phi Kappa Phi Forum. It was runner-up in Phi Kappa Phi’s May poetry competition.

Monica Johnstone, director of communications and advancement for CLAS,  has three textile works in the juried exhibition Fibre577 in Perrysburg, OH, June 8-9, 2013.
