The Sociology Department (with support from the CLAS Dean's Office and Provost's Office) invites Prof. Paul Draus (University of Michigan-Dearborn) to give a talk entitled, "Illicit Circulations: Sex, Drugs, and Money in Detroit," to be held Thurs., Nov. 15 from 4-5:30 PM in 176 Lake Michigan Hall. Prof. Draus has worked extensively on health and substance abuse risks among poor urban and rural populations. His work appears in a book on the rise of tuberculosis among Chicago's homeless and numerous articles on substance abuse and social suffering in rural Ohio and Detroit. The event is free and open to the public.
