Why GVSU's Police Academy?

The GVSU Police Academy prides itself on providing professional law enforcement training. We continue to develop innovative training programs and methods that provide a realistic environment for recruits to develop and refine the skills necessary to succeed in the law enforcement profession.

We have developed a proven reputation for producing qualified and competent law enforcement candidates. This is reflected in our high first-time pass rate on the MCOLES Licensing Exam and our above average employment rate within one year of graduation as shown below:
