Ms. Sarah  Preschool 1  Lead Teacher

 Hello Families,

April is the Month of the Young Child, which means we are celebrating children. Our themes for the month of April we will be farm animals, zoo animals and then forest animals based on what the children are interested in and what they chose to learn about. We will also have a Reader Anne from the library come and read to the children every other Tuesday. We will also be finishing learning the Zoophonics letters which will be "x, y and z" for Xavier Fox, Yancy Yak and Zeke Zebra.

Some Extra happenings going on for this month we will celebrating Katelyn's birthday on the 7th and Adelyn's birthday on the 12th. We have a lot of events going on this month for the Month of the young Child. Please check your child's cubby for a calendar of events that are going on around campus and what you can do with your child at home. We are asking that everyone wear the color Purple on Wednesday, April 1st to kick off the month. On Monday, April 13th P1 will have their family conferences over in Kirkhof in room 2264  . On Wednesday, April 15th we have our field trip to the Meijer Butter Fly garden. Please make sure you have your child here by 8 a.m. so that we are on the bus and ready to leave by 8:30 a.m. Good luck to those that are taking or giving finals the semester is almost over with.

As part of our parents and teacher communication I have added some articles, such as developmental milestones and potty training, to the to clear file holders near the door to the playground. These articles are yours to take on and keep and if you have any questions or would like to see other articles please feel free to e-mail me and I can add them to the area. Also, if you get a chance to look at the hands on learning bulletin board in the classroom I have been adding what books, songs, or charting we do daily at group time to the area.

Thanks and have a great rest of your week!

Ms. Sarah
