Erik Hall  Founder, Lee Shore Ventures
Upon graduating from Purdue University in engineering, Erik Hall began his professional career in the oil fields of Wyoming. From there, he worked in many different industries filling many different roles varying from sales to design. Taking a holistic approach towards his hard and soft skills, Erik decided to round out his experiences through pursuing his MBA. While working on his graduate degree he saw a gap between university tech transfer and early stage venture funds which lead him to create Lee Shore Ventures. Erik is currently working at filling the gap between high tech/high growth technologies and early prototype/proof of concept commercialization.
 
Mike Marsiglia  Vice President, Atomic Object
Mike is a Vice President with Atomic Object, a custom software product development consultancy based in Grand Rapids, MI. Mike has 11 years experience in software development, initially as a developer and recently as a part Atomic's leadership team, helping clients match their business needs with custom software solutions. Mike is passionate about guiding entrepreneurs and all clients through the development of effective products. He enjoys the challenge of figuring out how to build successful software tools, employing a minimum set of essential features.
 
Jeff Royce  Interim Executive Director, Grand Rapids SmartZone
As Business Development and Interim Executive Director of the Grand Rapids SmartZone, Jeff joins the SmartZone with an experienced, diverse business background. Originally from Grand Rapids but having recently moved back after living in Atlanta for years, Jeff’s experience includes high-rise urban real estate development, ownership and successful exit of a medical equipment store to various business development roles. In his role at the SmartZone, he is helping restructure and grow the business incubator to help local entrepreneurs successful establish and grow their business ideas in life science and emerging technologies.
 
Miles Smith  President, Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO)
MilesMiles is the 2012 GVSU and Regional Business Plan Competition Champion, and a senior studying Marketing and International business. He is the current President of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) Chapter at GVSU. In his role, he fosters entrepreneurship among the student population by organizing guest speakers, hosting networking meetings, and connecting students with community resources. Miles is also the Founder of B.A.H.R.S. LLC – a company manufacturing technology in the sport fishing industry.
 
Laura Vaughn  Co-Founder, Sitting in a Tree LLC
Laura is the 25 year old co-founder of Sitting in a Tree. Over the past few years, Laura has spent time marketing for web-based startups, helping start a coworking space, and most recently, marketing strategy consulting for Haworth Office Furniture. While the context may vary, Laura is consistently driven by her curiosity for human behavior, and constant search for data. Laura is newly married to her husband, Ryan, who is also a founder of a web-based business focused on high school sports media. They live in Grand Rapids with a huge whiteboard wall and their two cats (Spike & Willy).
