Welcome to the sixth edition of NEU, the Richard M. and Helen DeVos Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovations (CEI) semi-annual magazine. This issue's theme revolves around fostering innovation in West Michigan. As its name implies, NEU (German for "new") is all about what's new - and what's happening - in West Michigan's entrepreneurial community. It's designed to support the efforts of people within our community by recognizing the ideas, strategies, and accomplishments of local entrepreneurs and partner organizations. The magazine also provides information on educational opportunities and community resources.

The Family Business Survey collects information from Michigan businesses with the goal of providing resources to assist family owned businesses (FOBs), monitoring and improving the health of Michigan FOBs, and conducting targeted institutional research. This survey is sponsored by the Seidman College of Business at Grand Valley State University (GVSU), the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University (WMU) and the Family Business Alliance of Grand Rapids.
