GVSU Faculty-led Programs

Students may choose a GVSU faculty-led study abroad programs dependent on demand and schedule. Faculty-led programs range from 2-8 weeks and take place during the summer (exception: China Social Work program during winter break. Each faculty-led program is led by a Grand Valley faculty member.  On average, there are about 10 student participants in each faculty-led program.  Students will register for specific Grand Valley courses depending on the program's focus.Click THIS LINK to be directed to the Padnos International Center's program information page for more details regarding the program, costs, timeline, and application process.

Not every program will be offered every year, however here are programs that are possible

  • Australia
    Students will register for a total of 6 credits:
    PA380: Australian Growth and Development 
    PA372: International and Comparative Administration 
  • China
    Students will register for a total of 3 credits:
    SW 354: International Service
  • El Salvador
    Students will register for a total of 3 credits:
    SW 354: International Service
  • Ghana
    Students will register for a total of 3 credits:
    SW 354: International Service
  • Ireland
    Students will register for a total of 3 credits:
    SW 354: International Service
  • Italy
    Students will register for a total of 6 Credits:
    HTM 175: International Food and Culture
    HTM 202: International Tourism
