En Route to a Social Work Career November 13 2013

The Social Work program at GVSU is a secondary admit program. This means that although you have been admitted to GVSU, you must meet certain criteria and submit a formal application before you are admitted to the School of Social Work.

Program admission occurs only during the fall semester, typically in the third year or whenever the admission criteria have been satisfied.

This group advising sessions is specifically designed for first and second year SW majors or students interested in learning more about this major. During the session you will learn more about the SW major, the program entrance requirements, and the application timeline.  You will also be able to connect with faculty and current students in the program to ask any questions that you have. This is an important first step on your pathway to a career in Social Work.

Attendance at this session is STRONGLY encouraged so that you are better prepared for entrance to the program and are able to stay on track for your degree in four years.
