1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
After graduation I moved to North Carolina to teach. I contacted wake county representatives from the GVSU out of state teaching fair and got a teaching job. I started a new special education program at a middle school. Since then I have been named first year teacher of the year in 2012, teacher of the year in 2019, and obtained my National Board Certification in 2017.

2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
Marching in the marching band and winning the division 2 championship.

3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Seek first to understand rather than to be understood.

4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand Valley experience.
Moving Musical Amazing

5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I would like to make a difference by making a welcoming home and providing stability foe children in foster care. I would like to make a difference in the community for individuals with disabilities.
