Faculty & Staff

Helping students shape their lives, professions, and societies is definitely a group effort! While the Career Center offers a variety of career-related services and events, research shows faculty involvement in the career development process of students is CRITICAL.

• Faculty promotion of career-related objectives and tasks increases students’ awareness of career development tasks (Shontz 2004).
• Early employer contact—especially in the classroom context--improves both self-awareness of transferable skill set and management of career related tasks (Peter & Dominic 2008).
• Students returning from experiential semesters deepen classroom discussion/learning. (Pierson & Troppe 2010).

With this in mind it is our goal to find ways to partner with you and best promote and encourage career exploration and implementation.
