The table below shows some of the differences in symptoms between the common cold and the flu. This table is for information purposes only and is not intended to substitute for the advice of your healthcare provider.

Fever Usually 102°F, but can go up to 104°F and usually lasts three to four days Rare in adults and older children, but can be as high as 102°F in infants and small children
