Technology Commercialization Office
The Technology Commercialization Office (TCO) collaborates with entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations on sponsored research projects, license agreements, economic development projects, and new ventures in an effort to develop mutually beneficial partnerships between industry and GVSU. The TCO also participates in Idea Cycle, a model program dedicated to transforming product ideas into commercial realities.
Services. The Technology Commercialization Office is a resource for entrepreneurs and inventors. On a fee-for-services basis, TCO can provide invention assessment, intellectual property review, commercialization road mapping, identification of commercialization partners, and execution of agreements.
Idea Cycle. Idea Cycle provides the infrastructure necessary to effectively mine, assess and protect novel life science ideas in West Michigan. The program can also fund the most promising projects through early-stage development, protect concepts through patent, and then strategically exit through license, partnership or spin-out.
