Getting ready to take the CFP® Certification Examination can be daunting. For most people, a review course is a critical part of the preparation.
Grand Valley State University is pleased to offer a CFP® Certification Examination Review Course in February. Location will be either at the GVSU Grand Rapids or Holland campus depending upon space availability. The course will focus on a review of major topics from the CFP Board’s certification examination topic list and is structured as follows:
Introduction to Financial Planning
Income Tax Planning
Estate Planning
Retirement & Benefits Planning
Insurance Planning
Investment Planning
Exam Strategies and Cases
Days 1, 2, and 3 will focus on topics deemed most critical to success on the certifictaion examination. The fourth day of review is devoted to exam strategies and solving integrated case problems of the type found on the certification examination, followed by a comprehensive mock exam.
Registrants for this review course must have completed a CFP Board-Registered program or be eligible to take the CFP® Certification Examination on a challenge basis (see CFP Board website at cfp.net for more information). The cost of the review course is $1,200. Price includes tuition and a 3-ring binder of discussion material. Students must purchase the current edition of Comprehensive Case Studies Book published by Keir Educational Resources. The book will NOT be available in the GVSU bookstore.
