Finance Department Advisory Board
The chair of the Finance department along with a few of Seidman’s Finance alumni started meeting in late 2007 with an idea to form an Advisory Board for the Finance Department. The first meeting was held on March 26, 2008. With fourteen board members, faculty and IPO students, the breakfast meeting was a very strong and an encouraging start for this board.
The expected role of the advisory board is to form a partnership with the department that will provide dialogue in regards to issues related to students, faculty and alumni.
The inaguaral Board members include (not in order of picture): Matt Cinco (Waddell & Reed), Brandon Finnie (Adamy Valuation Advisors), Bob Frey (Professor, GVSU Management), Jim Gillette (CSM Worldwide), Boomer Hoppough (Independent Bank), Rob Jamula (Fifth Third Bank), Michael Metzger (JSJ Corporation), Mark Mossing (Steelcase, Inc.), Joe Nowicki (Herman Miller), Mark Redfield (Redfield & Irish Financial Group), Scott Setlock (Mercantile Bank), Mitch Stapley (Fifth Third Asset Management), Kathleen Vogelsang (Van Andel Institute), and Jim Walsh (Meijer-retired). Our New Board Member, John Kerschen (The Charter Group), is not pictured. |
