Does Business Fit You?
Take the opportunity to do a little self exploration to decide whether business is right for you. If it is, these sites can help you determine which area of business might be best for you.
Here is a great personality trait site:
NYCareerZone Click on 'Assess Yourself' from the top. You will pick the three words that describe you most, and then you can look at various occupations that suit your personality. To see the occupations, once you have clicked on your words, select 'View Occupations' in the gold circle.
Once you have picked out your favorites from your list of suggested occupations, you will want to learn more about those occupations at a couple of occupation/career information sources:
At O*NET, start by doing the Skills Search.
Then, take a look at those same occupations in the Occupational Outlook Handbook:
Occupational Outlook Handbook
Use the alphabetical index at this site to find the occupations quickly.
Whether business is right for your or not, go on to the next step (this will help you regardless of your choice of major!):
Second: Assess your learning style.
Find out how you learn best and how to make each class work for you.
