Bus Route 48 - South Campus Express (Apartment Shuttle)

Route Description:

The Route 48 South Campus Express provides service from the Kirkhof Center in Allendale to the south off-campus apartments. This is in addition to the off-campus apartment shuttle Route 37 North Campus Express. NOTE: Route 48 not in service during Spring/Summer semesters.

Route Schedule & Frequency:

Fall/Winter Semesters:
Monday - Thursday: 7a - 12a
Friday: 7a - 6p (see Route 50 Weekend Connector after 6p)

  • Every 4 min between 7a - 6p; Every 5 min between 6p - 12a
  • Weekend service available (via Route 50 Weekend Connector)

Spring/Summer Semesters:
No apartment shuttle service available during the Spring/Summer semesters

  • NOTE: when classes are not in session the bus may be on a limited "Break Schedule",  which does include off-campus apartments on Route 48. When the University is closed there is no GVSU bus service.

"Fall / Winter Semesters" (in general, first day of class to end of exam week, with exceptions below)

  • "Break Service" (dates of Holidays/Break Service) to include:
    • FALL: Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Week, December Semester Break, Christmas Eve & Day, New Years Eve & Day and days prior to start of Winter Semester.
    • WINTER: Spring Break, Semeser Break prior to start of Spring Semester

"Spring / Summer Semesters" (in general, first day of class to end of exam week, with exceptions below)

  • "Break Service" (dates of Holidays/Break Service) to include:
    • SPRING: Memorial Day Weekend
    • SUMMER: Independence Day Recess, Semester Break prior to start of Fall Semester
