Seidman House

Named for the Thomas Erler Seidman Foundation, of Grand Rapids, Seidman House was a 10,470 foot structure built in 1964. 2,498 ft were added to the structure in 2001. Thomas Erler Seidman is the deceased brother of L. William Seidman. The building originally served as a student center with a student lounge and fireplace, a faculty lounge, dining room, bookstore, two student activity rooms and a recreation room. Seidman House is now part of the University Libraries and houses the university's archives and rare books collection.
