While I am generally interested in many aspects of religious studies and am eager to work with students on projects in this very general area that they may find interesting, my specific area is in the relationship between science/medicine and religion. In particular, I am interested in seeing how these topics are covered and discussed in the sacred scriptures of world religions. As a member of the Jewish faith tradition, I have been looking at medicine and science in the Hebrew Bible and Rabbinic Literature (nearly all of which is available in English translation); but I am anxious to expand my work into the scriptures of other religions as well.
