The Department of Biomedical Sciences continues to grow and this year is recruiting for two new tenure track positions to join our 25 member faculty for Fall of 2010.Grand Valley State University is a comprehensive state-supported university of 24,000 students with a commitment to undergraduate education both in the classroom and research laboratory.We are seeking faculty who are committed to excellence in both classroom teaching and collaborative student research.Ph.D. required.ABD candidates with a completion date of December 31, 2010, may be considered for hire at the instructor level. Post-doctoral experience is desirable. Both positions listed are for 9-months.
Assistant Professor- Anatomy Individual must be able to teach undergraduate human anatomy including gross anatomy laboratories as well as introductory allied health anatomy/physiology.Additional experience in related areas of anatomy with accompanying laboratories is desirable.
Assistant Professor- Microbiology Individual must be able to teach undergraduate microbiology and its associated laboratory. Expertise in mycology is desirable but not required.
