Job Opportunities - Affiliate position


The Biomedical Sciences Department at Grand Valley State University seeks an Anatomy/Physiology Affiliate faculty member.   MS degree with experience and expertise in teaching human anatomy/physiology as well as demonstrated excellent communication skills and interactions with students required. Responsibilities may include: teaching BMS 202 (Non-majors A/P), BMS 250 (Allied Health A/P I lab), and BMS 251 (Allied Health A/P II lab).  An opportunity to teach other undergraduate courses will depend on departmental needs and the candidate’s background and experience.  Affiliate faculty teach between 15 to 18 credit hours per semester or approximately 8 two hour laboratory sections, with at most three preparations.  The initial appointment is for one year, followed by an opportunity for a second year appointment.  Thereafter, affiliate faculty are eligible for renewable three year contracts.  Apply online at http://www.gvsujobs.org/.  Include a cover letter, CV, statements of teaching philosophy and experience, contact information for three references, and scanned copies of your transcripts.
