NRM Requirements, Resource Info Sci
Requirements for the Resource Information Science Emphasis
This emphasis is designed for students interested in resource infomation technologies, such as geographic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS), and remote sensing. Please refer to the current GVSU catalog for official and up-to-date requirements.
In addition to the General Degree Requirements, students choosing the Resource Information Science emphasis must complete the following courses:
- CS 150 Introduction to Computing OR CS 160 Programming with Visual Basic
- CS 231 Problem Solving Using Spreadsheets
- CS 233 Concepts of Database Systems
- GPY
- NRM 250 Resource Measurements and Maps
- NRM 395 GIS Applications in Resource Management
- NRM 480 Geospatial Analysis of Natural Resources*
