Beta Weekly - Week of January 26, 2015

Hello everyone!
Hope your week has started off well!

Last Thursday (top)
Last week, we had an awesome social, where we got to know each other through fun games and had some pizza!

This Thursday (top)
This Thursday, January 29th, we are having a bowling night with representatives from PlanteMoran, Rehmann, Crowe Horwath, PwC, and BDO. It will be at Clique Lanes from 6pm to 8pm. Watch for the carpool google doc and sign up, if you need a ride or can drive there! We will meet at 5:30 in the Lobby of SCB and leave around 5:45! The dress is casual.
This will be an awesome networking opportunity, and there will be food from Jimmy Johns and great prizes! You will not want to miss it! It is also mandatory. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail Laura Ford at fordla@mail.gvsu.edu.
Here is the address of Clique Lanes - 533 Stocking Ave. NW, Grand Rapids.

Community Service(top)
Comprenew— Tear apart old computers! This is a fun stress-reliever. BAP has a noon-5 pm slot reserved for Friday February 20 and Friday March 20. At least 7-9 volunteers are needed on each date.

Throughout the semester, please email all your service hours (with BAP or not) to Sarah Pale at pales@mail.gvsu.edu, and let her know if you are interested in upcoming opportunities.

Dues and Other Reminders(top)
There are still quite a few people that haven't paid their dues. Dues are $65 for members and re-pledges, and $120 for new pledges (per semester) and are to be turned in to Jacob Reeds or Kathy Goralski ASAP. Please contact Jacob at jacobsreeds@gmail.com for further instructions on where you could drop them off to him. If you are turning in your dues to Kathy Gorlaski, she is located in the Accounting Department on the third floor of SCB. Please, write a check or bring exact change.

All members and pledges are required to do 10 volunteer hours per semester, and at least 5 of them have to be through Beta Alpha Psi.

All meetings are mandatory. Members are allowed to miss 2 meetings per semester, and pledges can miss 1.
If you have any conflicts with the meetings, they may be excused, depending on the circumstances (athletic competitions, internship, etc.). If you know of any conflicts you might have on Thursday nights, please e-mail or talk to Joshua Holtz (holtzjo@mail.gvsu.edu). Also, make sure you sign in with him at all meetings.

Thank you for reading!
See you Thursday! Get ready to bowl!
