Hello everyone!

Last Week (top)
Last week we visited Plante Moran for our first firm visit. We heard a presentation about the work-life balance that Plante Moran has to offer as well as received a tour of the office. Hope everyone enjoyed this experience and got to learn a little bit more about Plante Moran.

This Week (top)
This week we will be having our meeting at Rehmann. Rehmann is hosting a Career Event and at this event they will be talking about career opportunities at Rehmann as well as information about how to identify what company is the right fit for you. Rehmann is located at 2330 East Paris Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49516. This event will take place from 5:15 to 8:30 p.m and the dress for this meeting is business casual. Attached is a flyer and you can view that byclicking here. There will be two carpools this week as well. One carpool will be leaving at 4:45/4:50 and one will be leaving right at 5:15. These carpool spreadsheets will be sent in a later email. Look forward to seeing you all at Rehmann.

Name Tags (top)

If you have attended pre-recruiting and received an official name tag with the Beta Alpha Psi logo, please keep it and bring it to every firm visit. Don't worry if you haven't received one yet. We are working on getting them ready by Thursday.

Study Tables (top)
BAP will be hosting weekly study tables in the Seidman Student Organization Center on the first floor of the Seidman building. It's a great, quiet place to study together with your BAP friends, especially with the limited seating in the building. Study Tables will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays this semester from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Look forward to seeing you there!

Community Service Committee Member (top)
Our current VP of Community Service, Kayla Blaskowski, is looking for a community service committee member. This would be a great way to transition to the VP of Community Service e-board position that will be open next semester. Your responsibilities would include helping Kayla find events for our members to volunteer at. If you are interested in this position please contact Kayla at blaskowk@mail.gvsu.edu

Volunteer Opportunities (top
Upcoming volunteer events include:
BDO Bark in the Park 5K which is on October 11. If you are interested in this event please contact Kayla by this upcoming Wednesday!
Kids' Art Fest which is one September 28 from 11-2 in Veterans' Park. 7 volunteers are needed for this event.
Don't forget that you need ten hours of community service and five of these hours must be through Beta approved events. Also be on the look out for Kayla's emails as these are a good way to hear about volunteer events!

Beta Alpha Psi Facebook and Instagram (top)
Don't forget to join the Beta Alpha Psi - Kappa Beta Chapter Facebook group! It is a great place to ask questions you might have about meetings and also to get information about volunteer opportunities. Don't forget each member needs 10 hours of community service and the Facebook group is a great place to see the events coming up! Also you should follow the new Beta Alpha Psi Instagram! The username for our new Instagram is bapkappabeta. We will be posting pictures from our trips to local firms as well as from volunteer events!

Birthdays (top)
We have one belated birthday shout out this week. Happy birthday to Brian Gill, 9/13. If you see this BAP pledge this week make sure to say happy birthday!

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. All you have to do is reply to this e-mail. Also if you no longer want to receive the Beta Weekly please email me back and I will take you off the mailing list.

Have a great week!

Alisa Jones
