Sharing Information and Promoting Understanding
As part of the START BYF project, a PowerPoint presentation was designed for school
professionals to share information about students with ASD with local community
The presentation is designed to improve awareness and knowledge about ASD, while allowing educators the opportunity to celebrate what is currently happening in schools. It also creates a level of awareness of emerging fiscal challenges if we stay the course and ignore the existing problems. Most importantly, it offers the chance to address these issues by developing greater community investment through engaging students with ASD in community employment opportunities. Employers learn about the mutual benefit of working collaboratively with schools
to help students gain employment.
