Statewide Autism Resources and Training Project
Evidence Based Practices (EBP) Project
The START EBP Implementation Project is the culmination of many years of work supporting the implementation of evidence based practices in schools along with the recent collaborative partnership project with the National Professional Development Center on Autism Spectrum Disorders from 2009-2011. Our aim is to support school building teams with technical assistance (TA) to create student IEP goals that best reflect the needs of the student and match those goals to evidence based practices that will help the students and team meet those goals. Another key component of the project is to review the foundational supports in place in the school building for all students with ASD and identify areas that require additional development.
The START EBP Implementation Project is easy to get started.
You will identify:
“1” building for the project;
“1” target student for participation;
“1” IEP goal to systematically address through the project, and
“1” Evidence Based Practice (EBP) to address the IEP goal for the student.
The EBP Project Checklist for RCN will guide you through the process.
For Technical Assistance Sites, the EBP Project Checklist for TA sites will guide you through the " 1-2-3-4" process.
