Statewide Autism Resources and Training Project
Secondary level LINK Programs
Comprehensive Curriuculum
Below are two types of delivery that can be utilized as you work with your Secondary level LINK Program students.
We looked for a training tool that was able to achieve the following: flexible enough to meet a variety of needs (individualized); accessible from any location with internet access; and comprehensive in its content. The AIM Internet modules achieve these important goals.
The Direct Instruction Modules parallel the Internet Modules and allows the Instructor to print out desired lessons, and includes a competency quiz at the conclusion of each lesson.

AIM – Autism Internet Modules
The Autism Internet Modules were developed with one aim in mind: to make comprehensive, up-to-date, and usable information on autism accessible and applicable to educators, other professionals, and families who support individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Written by experts from across the U.S., all online modules are free, and are designed to promote understanding of, respect for, and equality of persons with ASD. Thank you to the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI) for sharing these modules.Directions

What Is Meant By “Direct Instruction”?
Direct instruction most often takes place in a traditional classroom. The students meet for a regularly scheduled class period throughout the semester or trimester, with one or more teachers instructing on a topic. Direct instruction most often has hard copies of textbooks and/or handouts that the student is able to read from. Direct instruction can be supplemented with informational articles, videos, special speakers, etc.Directions
