Description
Patra Zambetis, Spanish/Health Professions, presents Chile: Booking a Trip to Remember.

During the winter semester of 2012, Zambetis embarked on the adventure of a lifetime: a semester studying abroad in Valparaíso, Chile. This time abroad was the inspiration for her senior project for the Frederick Meijer Honors College at Grand Valley.

By utilizing her joy of journaling, she captured the beauty of Chile and some of its unique characteristics, such as the native animal, the guanaco, to inspire her bilingual story entitled: The Adventures of Sofia the Chilean Guanaco.

Also, Laura Geiken, Spanish/Latin American Studies, will present Argentina, Panama and Peace Corp, a long journey, Thursday December 5, from 12-1 p.m., in Au Sable Hall, Room 2147.

Sponsored by GVSU Latin American Studies, Brooks College of Interdisciplinary Studies and Modern Languages and Literatures. For more information contact Zulema Moret, Latin American Studies coordinator, at 616-331-2286, or moretz@gvsu.edu.
