Some of the most acclaimed Latin American films will have free screenings in West Michigan during the 4th annual Latin American Film Festival, April 4-7, at Celebration! Cinema North & IMAX and Wealthy Theatre. See individual listings for each date.
Featured guests will include Venezuelan filmmaker Juan Andrés Bello and Argentine director Gustavo Taretto for this casual dinner and social time in between their film screenings.
The festival will include screenings of films from Cuba, Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, and Argentina, focusing on a wide range of contemporary subjects.
All festival events are free and open to the public with support from Aquinas College, Calvin College, Ferris State University, Davenport University and Grand Valley State University, Mexican Consulate in Detroit, Argentine Consulate in Chicago, Consulate of the República Bolivariana de Venezuela in Chicago, Consulate of Brazil in Chicago, MOSTRA, Chiaroscuro Film Series, Celebration!
