After the film, Manny Pérez will answer questions and discuss his participation as screenwriter and actor in the film La soga, as well the relation between the story and the daily life in the Dominican Republic.
The Grand Rapids Latin American Film Festival was organized in 2010 to screen and discuss contemporary Latin American cinema with a West Michigan Audience. Operating from the Grand Valley State University Latin American Studies Program, the festival is organized by a consortium of professors from Grand Valley, Aquinas College and Calvin College.
