Description
This oboe and organ recital features GVSU Music Department faculty members Marlen Vavrikova, associate professor, and Gregory Crowell, affiliate professor.

With a doctorate from the University of Illinois, Marlen Vavrikova has performed in Sarasota, Hot Springs, Banff, and Ostrava New Music festivals, the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music and International Double Reed Society conferences. She has been a soloist with the University of Illinois New Music Ensemble, the Baroque Artists of Champaign-Urbana, and the Janacek Chamber Orchestra.

Gregory Crowell has appeared as organist, harpsichordist, clavichordist, lecturer, and conductor in Germany, Holland, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Canada, and the United States. Dr. Crowell serves as director of publications for the Organ Historical Society, director of music at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids, university organist at Grand Valley State University, and president of the Midwestern Historical Keyboard Society.
