Description
Grand Valley's highly acclaimed New Music Ensemble, under the direction of Bill Ryan, performs in a free concert, featuring music by Houston composer Rob Smith.
Smith is an associate professor at the University of Houston where he directs the Aura Contemporary Ensemble and teaches composition. He also serves as artistic director of Musiqa, a Houston-based contemporary chamber ensemble. The ensemble will perform several works by Smith, including the world premiere of his composition "Kicking & Screaming."
