Description
Theatre at Grand Valley and Heritage Theatre Group present the rock musical "Rent." Additional performances November 14, 19, 20, 21, at 7:30 p.m. a special late night performance on November 20 at 11 p.m., and a matinee November 15 at 2 p.m. A sign interpreter will be available for the Nov. 19, performance.
A modern classic of the American theatre, "Rent" features a compelling and socially relevant storyline, multi-ethnic cast, and high energy music. Jonathan Larson's "Rent" won both the Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award for Best Musical, endures as one of the most beloved theatrical experiences of the 20th century, and has become the anthem of a generation of theater lovers.
Directed by guest artist Manley Pope, this production is made possible through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. Rent was originally produced by New York Theatre Workshop and on Broadway by Jeffrey Seller, Kevin McCollum, Allan S. Gordon and New York Theatre Workshop.
