The Padnos International Center (PIC) presented its first student photo contest in 2011. The winners were selected by public vote. All Grand Valley State University students who studied abroad from 2008-2011 were invited to submit two photographs in the following categories:
 
Where is Your Classroom?                   Get Lost                     
Social Issues                                     Celebration, Tradition, & Ritual
Send me There!                                 The Great Outdoors
