Drawing serves to undergird the work of the majors in all eight emphasis areas in the department.
Michael Ingold received his B.F.A in Sculpture form Grand Valley State University and when on to complete his M.F.A at Kendall College of Art and Design in Painting. Back now in the Art & Design Department at GVSU as a faculty member Michael primarily teaches foundations courses in Drawing and 2-D Design. In his own studio work Michael is interested in bridging gaps between the two-dimensional and three-dimensional, and man-made vs. machine made objects. As a result, his work often resides in a grey area between sculpture and drawing.
