Kirsten Strom
Kirsten Strom teaches Art History courses including Survey I and II, Surrealism, Art Since 1945, Asian Art, 19th-Century Art, and Capstone. She earned her graduate degrees from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Iowa. Though Surrealism has been the primary subject of her research, she has written articles on a range of topics including “Dance Anthropology,” postmodern themes in contemporary graphic design, and the implications of pastiche in the “alternative” music of the 1980s. In addition to her formal research, she also practices studio art, especially photography, and she writes stories, poems, and songs.
