Geoff Burd

Affiliate Professor, Art 101

Geoff Burd received his B.A. in Art and his B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Washington. His M.F.A. in Painting was earned at Central Michigan University. He currently teaches Introduction to Art as part of the General Education Program. Geoffs work explores his experience of the world in line and color re-presenting the forms of nature (including human nature) in the painted surface. As an artist he is concerned with contributing to our subjective understanding of the world in which we live. As a teacher he is concerned with helping his students develop an appreciation for visual art and the significant role it plays in being human.
