GVSU Art and Design
Brett Colley earned his MFA in Printmaking from the University of Iowa in 1994. In addition to Foundations, he teaches a variety of courses including upper level drawing, printmaking, and Senior Seminar. Colley has also served on the Curatorial Board of the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts since 2004. His recent work as both artist and curator examines those conditions that impede the ability of life on Earth to flourish indefinitely - particularly the perilous myth of human privilege - and the role of art in confronting such conditions. His projects have been exhibited in over 30 states and 6 countries.
