Non-Art Majors
Non-Art Majors are welcome to register for courses in Art History. In many instances pre-requisites can even be waived for non-art majors wishing to take a specific course at the upper level.
Survey of Art I and/or Survey of Art II are recommended for students with a broad or general interest in Art History. Those with a more focused interest may also take 300 and 400-level electives such as Renaissance Art, Islamic Art, or Surrealism.
Majors across the university whose students may find Art History courses especially valuable include History, Music, English, Writing, Anthropology, and Psychology. Naturally other majors are also welcome.
A Minor in Art History is also an option to students with majors in other areas.
