Distribution of General Education Requirements

Students are strongly encouraged to work with their advisors and create individual study plans appropriate to their interests. Careful selection of the general education courses helps majors to synthesize their understanding of the visual arts with many academic fields. Some possible fields of exploration include—sociology, anthropology, liberal studies, history or philosophy, literature, area studies, music history, theater history, and foreign languages.
