Kirsten Strom
Kirsten Strom is an Associate Professor who has taught Art History at Grand Valley since 1998. Her courses include Survey of Art I & II, Asian Art, Nineteenth-Century Art, Surrealism, Art Since 1945, and Capstone. She holds a PhD from the University of Iowa, an MA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a BA from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has published and presented numerous articles and conference papers on topics related to postmodern art and theory, and culture and politics in Modern Europe and the United States. She is also a photographer, musician, and writer.
