Sigrid Danielson
Sigrid Danielson received her B.A. in art history from Macalester College and completed her Ph.D. in medieval art at Indiana University. In addition to survey and capstone courses, she teaches specialized classes on medieval, Renaissance, Islamic, and American visual culture. Her research interests include the ties between early medieval art and institutional authority, Carolingian Italy, the medieval artist, religious ephemera, as well as the modern appropriation of medieval art in political and academic contexts.
