ART 222 - Survey of Art II
This course provides an overview of the broad trends that have shaped world art since the end of the Middle Ages. Discussions of related themes, which might include the role of artistic patronage, the social position of the artist, and the politics of colonialism, will aid in developing a well-rounded understanding of the diverse conditions and aesthetic traditions that have informed the production of art objects in the last six centuries.
