Archaeological Society Movie Night

What do Archaeology, Egypt, and the actor Brendan Fraser have in common? They are components of 1999’s hit movie The Mummy! In celebration of International Archaeology Day, the Archaeological Society of GVSU will be hosting a movie night and will be viewing The Mummy on October 23, 2017, at 7 p.m. in 132 Lake Huron Hall. We extend an invitation to the local AIA Chapter of Grand Rapids and anyone who has an interest in the field of Archaeology to join us as we celebrate International Archaeology Day with The Mummy. After the movie, we will engage in an informal discussion about the ethical issues that are addressed within the movie in order to understand the importance of our field of Archaeology.
