The most attractive and hospitable
campuses I have visited always include natural areas that include
trees, shrubs, and other plants, flowers and animal habitats.
These natural pedestrian friendly environments give respite from
buildings and other facilities and the sometimes hectic pace of
university life. The GVSU Arboretum is such a place.
Our Arboretum is designed to
appeal to our senses by yielding a variety of colors and textures,
aromas and sounds throughout the Michigan seasons. Most of all,
though, it is a peaceful place to relax or study.
