This web site provides grievance arbitration awards, discrimination arbitration awards, collective bargaining information, arbitrator's resumes, interest arbitration awards and fact finding awards. It also includes several videos about how to prepare for arbitration and pre-arbitration, and how to use mediation.
Recently we added a new topic of great concern: E-HR. Our E-HR section includes videos and articles that explain e-discovery, employment data theft, employee monitoring and telepresence in the work place.
There is no charge to use this web site. We know that equal justice means equal access and that the more people understand the various alternatives to litigation the more likely they will be to consider using mediation and arbitration. GVSU also provides this web site because we have a strong belief in public service. We hope you use the site often and that you find it beneficial. Welcome aboard.
Unions, employers, lawyers and arbitrators have graciously provided us with copies of these awards. We have deleted the names of the parties and replaced the names with either initials, new names or words like "grievant" and "supervisor." You will find union grievance awards in the "Union Grievance Arbitration Awards" section. You will find non union arbitration awards in the "Non Union Employment Arbitration Awards" section of the menu tab to your left. All of the arbitration awards have been summarized and the summaries are listed by the last name of the arbitrator and by issue.
|GVSU students who use the web site thank all of you who make it possible.|
