The Blackwater USA Arbitration

In March, 2004 in Fallujah, Iraq, four security contractors employed by the private military company Blackwater USA (now known as Xe Services LLC) were killed. In January of the following year, the families of these men brought a lawsuit against Blackwater for breach of contract and wrongful-death. Their claim was based on Blackwater ordering the men into hostile territory lacking proper weaponry and transportation.

In April 20, 2007, after several appeals, a federal district judge ordered the case to arbitration.

On January 21, 2011, the arbitration decision was published to the public.
